The KJV retains the helpful singular and plural personal pronouns. Pronouns beginning with the letter âtâ are singular (thou, thee, thy, thine). Pronouns beginning with the letter âyâ are plural (ye, you). These important distinctions are not maintained in modern translations. The KJV gives a great advantage to its readers in this regard. The reader can know if the singular or plural is being referred to without being required to know the original language.
Subjective case is used for the subject or predicate nominative. Objective case is used for objects (such as a direct object). Possessive case is used for showing ownership.
