Worthy Is The Lamb That Was Slain
The Church rapidly and eagerly is withdrawing from the Bible and thus from God. People don't have time for the Lord who loves them. "And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour." (Ephesians 5:2)
Yet, there is hope. The Blessed Hope is that the Lord will come one day for his own. "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ." (Titus 2:13) He will rescue them from his wrath that he will pour out upon the Earth. The Church, which is the Body of Christ and the Bride of Christ, is not destined for wrath. The Tribulation is God's wrath and he will rescue the Church before the seven years of Tribulation. "And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come." (1 Thessalonians 1:10; see also 1 Thess. 5:9 )
Christians need to be prepared to meed the Lord. This means working for Christ while we wait for him. "For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come." (1 Thessalonians 1:9-10)
Those who yet don't know the Lord as Saviour also need to get ready; "Prepare to meet thy God". "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."
(1 Timothy 2:5)
May you benefit from these studies as you make a move closer to the Lord. "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded." (James 4:8)
